This week they launched plasma 6.4.0, and what follows, with permission from the 6.3 series, which still has its sixth point update pending, is the counting with the Fibonacci series as a reference. This means that next Tuesday there will be a corrective, the following Tuesday another, two weeks later the point-three (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8), and so on up to the current six. Therefore, KDE Now we have to fix what we already have available, without forgetting the future Plasma 6.5.
And it's the weekend, and that means Nate Graham, who previously blogged on a personal blog, has published a new note about new features coming soon to KDE, specifically to its Plasma desktop. The following is the list with those new features.
KDE User Interface Improvements
plasma 6.4.1
- Discover list views are now properly navigable with the keyboard.
- Improved readability of some list items in KRunner and Discover when tapped or clicked.

- Hovering over list items on the User Feedback page of System Preferences no longer displays garbled icons.
- Improved readability of chart axis labels throughout Plasma to comply with the WCAG AA standard.
plasma 6.5.0
- The Plasma Activity Management service now only stores history for the last 4 months by default, instead of saving the entire history without ever purging it. Setting a limit makes the data more relevant and avoids performance issues caused by indefinitely growing databases.
- More improvements have been made to the Emoji Picker interface: the window is now never so small that the sidebar has to scroll, and the button to expand or collapse the sidebar is now in the header, rather than embedded.
- The unpopular vertical line between the date and time has been removed from horizontal layouts of the Digital Clock widget. Those who prefer this can do so by using a custom date format.
- On the System Preferences Shortcuts page, the “Add New” button is now located in the top bar instead of taking up unnecessary space above the list.
- Reduced the minimum tile size in Custom Tiles, allowing smaller tiles to be used on especially large displays such as ultrawide.
- The captive portal banner in the Networks widget now uses an embedded/header style, reducing the frame-in-frame effect.
- The NOAA Weather Picture Of The Day background plugin has been removed because the data source has changed and is no longer suitable for consistent display on the desktop.
