Unity 26.04 It is now availableWhich is no small feat. Last October, they missed the deadline to release version 25.10, leading us to believe they were starting to experience serious problems. Had they also failed to release Resolute Raccoon, they might have been dropped from the official family. But this time, there is a release. It's not an LTS release, but they promise it will be supported as if it were. Or at least, that's the intention.

As for its new features, they can be summarized as follows: They have corrected errors and caught upThe desktop environment is still Unity 7.7, which is quite stable.

Ubuntu Unity 26.04 is now available in the Ubuntu CD image and via the button below. Updates for Ubuntu Unity 25.10 will soon be enabled directly from the operating system. Updates for versions 24.04 and 26.04 should not be enabled, as that version was an LTS release and 26.04 is not.
