What is FPS game for Linux Blasphemer?
Currently, according to the Official website on Blasphemer's GitHub, its developers promote it in the following way:
Blasphemer is an FPS game for Linux that aims to create a free content pack (game) for the Heretic engine, with a metal-inspired dark fantasy theme. It can be played on any Doom source port or application that removes limits and is compatible with Heretic. However, although Blasphemer is currently fully playable, there are still many resources to create or polish, that is, it is still in full development.
From this, we can clarify and add that Blasphemer is a game offered within an iwad file, that is, it comes packaged in an archive that offers a complete set of resources necessary for a game, but still requires an executable engine to be played.
Therefore, and like other similar mythical games such as Doom, Heretic and Hexen, requires programs like Doomsday Engine, chocolate doom y Gzdoom to be able to be played today. Which, in turn, also allows it to be played on computers with Windows, macOS and GNU/Linux and other similar ones. And finally, currently your current stable version available It is version 0.1.8 from February 2023.
