- Featured news: This version 11.0 of the project for generating free and open distributions, called ALT Linux, now includes among many new features the following: The inclusion of the Linux 6.12 kernel and the update of key components of the operating system base (the GCC 14 compiler suite, systemd 255.18, glibc 2.38 and glib2 2.82). Another important point was the migration of the Mate Desktop to the GNOME Desktop (with the following packages GTK4 4.16, Libadwaita 1.6, and gnome-shell 47.4).
