How to prepare autoflasheable firmware for Heimdall

In another video tutorial, I taught install now how to use Heimdall all with flash terminals family Galaxy de Samsung.

How I already told you in the other article, Heimdall It is a valid tool for all operating systems, it is of the Open Source o open source and it is the only alternative to odin.

In the next video-tutorial, I am going to teach you how to unzip an original firmware, and create a package self-flashing for Heimdall.

Heimdall

The tutorial in question and the files that I am going to attach will be useful to all terminal users Samsung Galaxy S; The file firmware.xml which is the file to modify, they will serve all users regardless of their device model, the only thing that will have to be downloaded on their own from the official website of sammobile.com, it will be the firmware to be packed and the corresponding file pit.

Required files (Samsung Galaxy S)

We will need the original firmware that we want to pack to make it autoflasheable for Heimdall, the PIT file corresponding to our terminal model, and the firmware.xml file that we will modify as I explain in the header video.

Remember that the files that I attach in this post are for him Samsung Galaxy S, the only file that is valid for any terminal model is the firmware.xml after the relevant modifications.

To proceed with the packaging of the firmware auto-flashing, we will have to unzip the firmware files and copy them all to a new folder, then modify the file firmware.xml and pack or compress in format tar.gz.

In the video tutorial on the header you will find the process step by step explained by a server.

The video-tutorial is developed from Ubuntu 12.04, but keep in mind that the process to follow is the same for any operating system.
