Although this plugin for web browsers has been abandoned for the Gnu / Linux platform, the truth is that it is still a widely used plugin and maybe together with Java, Adobe Flash is one of the important plugins for any Ubuntu user.
Currently there are many alternatives for Flash, totally free options and just as good as Adobe Flash. There is also the possibility to use Google Chrome and the browser already has its own plugin to read Flash, something interesting for those who do not want to complicate their lives. However, if you are not one of those who use Chrome and want to use Flash, with this simple guide we can have it on our Ubuntu 16.04.
Adobe Flash installation
First we go to Software and Updates, application that will appear with writing it in the Ubuntu Dash. There we mark the options of «Canonical Partners»After which we will close the window. When we do, the application itself will ask us to reload the repositories. We press reload and that's it. When the application is finished it will close.

Now we have to open a terminal and write the following:
sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin
After this, the installation of the Adobe plugin will begin but it does not mean that we will find it at that moment in our web browser. For the installation to be effective, we have to close all browsers and reopen them, so the plugin will now be available through them.
In the latest versions of Adobe Flash, more specifically in the version that exists for Ubuntu 16.04, we will find a complementary program called "Adobe Flash Player Preferences". This program will allow us graphically configure Adobe Flash options, an interesting utility to make Adobe Flash more secure and consume fewer resources.
As you can see, the installation of Adobe Flash is easy, among other things because it is a necessary and important complement. Despite Adobe Flash has an expiration date.
