KDE Applications 19.08.1 arrives to start fixing the errors in this series

KDE Applications 19.08.1

KDE Community released KDE Applications 19.08 on August 15th. It was more than two weeks ago when we said that they were already available in source code form and we limited ourselves to saying that whoever wants to use them soon should use KDE neon or add the KDE Backports repository. What we did not take into account was that it was a first installment and that its developers usually wait for the launch of one first maintenance release for the global launch, now that is now: KDE Applications are now available 19.08.1.

As we have already explained, we are talking about the first maintenance update in the series 19.08 and coincides with the September launch of the same. KDE usually releases three updates for each series, one each month, which fixes the bugs they have found. With that explained, there will be a v19.08.2 in October, a v19.08.3 in November and then we will move on to KDE Applications 19.12 which will introduce new features.

KDE Applications 19.08.1 should be coming to Discover soon

Just like we explain In the middle of last month, the KDE Applications 19.08 arrived with interesting news such as that now we can launch the file explorer with the shortcut META + E, Okular improves its annotations tool by allowing us to add arrows (among other ways) or Spectacle will show the time remaining to take a capture in the lower panel, as long as we are going to take a capture with a delay.

In the KDE applications roadmap, it is marked as "released to the public" (released to the public) the release of KDE applications v19.08.1, so new versions should arrive as updates to Discover in the next few hours. We remember that for this we must use special repositories, such as the one used by KDE neon or a KDE Backports repository that we can add by typing this command:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu/backports

For those of us who have already added it, we just have to have a little more patience.
