Now that we have all started or are going to start enjoying Linux Kernel 4.5, the most daring can start trying Linux Kernel 4.6. Linus Torvalds announced it last night (in Spain) and it is now available to download and test the first version release Candidate (RC). The release came a day earlier than expected, and it did so for two reasons: because Linus Torvalds has some travel to do, and because Linux Kernel 4.6 will be a major release.
This new version of the Linux kernel will include several interesting improvements, but it is not expected to arrive in Ubuntu LTS 16.04 (Xenial Xerus) or any of its official flavors or operating systems based on the system that Canonical develops. On the other hand, we do not recommend its installation unless you are developers, since it is almost certain that problems will appear, such as hardware that stops working.
«Overall, despite the size of the mail merge window, this has mostly gone smoothly. There were relatively few conflicts and the ARM tree that has typically had the most of them was actually one of the easiest experiences ever. Good workLinus Torvalds.

and Ubuntu 16.04 for when?
Hi Luis. By April 21.
A greeting.
I find a design error to have to be updating and inflating the kernel more and more with new drivers, wouldn't it be better to put the new drivers as a package and that's it?
In the end the kernel will end up being 99% drivers
The name is Linus Torvalds, not Linux. GNU / Linux is… What am I going to tell you? 😉
Greetings.
Hello Alvaro. Thanks for the note. I know what the name is, actually it was right in the headline. I imagine that I have gotten out of hand by the habit of writing the operating system.
Cheers and thank you again.
