Many of the best changes we can make to Firefox are available from the settings page. about: config. From this page we can make adjustments that we cannot do from the normal configuration, and some are as interesting as enable Picture in Picture support or PiP before Mozilla does it officially. But the downside is that it is a page that can be scary, and that is something that could change in Firefox 71.
But before going any further, I would like to say that there is nothing confirmed. In fact, the stable version of Firefox has already reached 69 and the first time we were able to see the new configuration page was in Firefox 67 Nightly. With that explained, Firefox 71 Nightly has the setup page about: config different from the current one, showing clearer information that invites us to make changes without fear of destroying the installation of our browser (although we must continue to be careful because we could do so).

Currently, the page about: config It gives the impression of being only for programmers, with numbers, the value true / false, yes / no ... and changing the values is done with a double click or right click + modify. This will be very different when Mozilla decides to launch the new page thanks to some new buttons that make everything much clearer:
- The double arrow means "toggle" and is used to change the value to the opposite. In other words: if it is set to "true" it will change it to "false".
- The pencil is for editing.
- The Trash will delete the entry.
The first version of the next page about: config it was something different. Instead of icons, the buttons contained words, the same ones that now appear when we hover over the buttons. As we have mentioned, first appeared in Firefox 67 Nightly, and it did it together with the new extensions page that is now available in the stable version. For that reason, we know that the page about: config that we can see in Firefox 71 Nightly will reach the stable version, but we do not know when.
We also do not know if it will reach Linux at the same time as Windows, but if we pay attention to how everything is now, we can see it on December 3 at the same time as Microsoft's system users.
