This is Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu wallpaper, and… well, it could be worse

Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu

You already know what the wallpaper will be like Ubuntu 22.10, although Canonical has not yet published it on social networks. I have discovered it in a post by Joey Sneddon, and my first impressions... could have been better. Although, for example, in recent years we have had those of Hirsute hippo o Eoan Ermine, I think in both cases we saw something “very Ubuntu”. What we'll see at any point in the Daily Build and in the stable release starting in August is a bit different.

What yes is maintained is the color palette, although it is also true that there is a little more orange than in the latest Ubuntu wallpapers. Purple or "aubergine" is still present on the right, and orange, also characteristic of the operating system at least as an accent color, peeks out from the top left. Geometric shapes are also seen, although in the case of Kudu's background they have a three-dimensional design.

Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu is coming in a month

The animal itself is the most novel. Its fine lines are somewhat reminiscent of those of Eoan Ermine, but that ermine was more symmetrical and orderly. This Kudu is a little more chaotic, and it appears (seems) to have been drawn without lifting the brush from the canvas. My personal opinion is that, personal, and I would only comment on one thing: when I have used other operating systems, such as Windows, I have liked to put the Ubuntu backgrounds on it. So I did it in WIN 10 with the Dingo, the Fossa, I think I remember that with the Gorilla and my WIN 11 has the Jellyfish, but I think that none of my installations will have this Kudu. I think.

Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu is now in the final phase of its development, and will be releasing beta soon. The stable version will come the day October 20, and it will do so with the biggest news of GNOME 43 and Linux 5.19, as 6.0 won't arrive in time for the final freeze.
