How to install Wonderwall on Ubuntu and derivatives?
For those who are interested in being able to install this tool on their system They can do so by following the instructions we share below.
Wonderwall is available through Snap packages, so they must have the support to install these types of applications on their system.
Note: Ubuntu versions 18.04 and 18.10 already have this support natively, previous versions and derivatives should verify and in their respective case add the support.
The command to install Wonderwall on our system is:
sudo snap install wonderwall
Basic use of Wonderwall
To start using this application we will have to look for its launcher in our application menu to execute it.
In case the program exits with an error message, we would have to grant it some permissions.
We are going to go to the overview of all applications and here we right click on the Wonderwall application, then we are going to click on "Show details" and select "Permissions", then activate "Access files in your home folder" and start the program again.
Wonderwall's title bar is scattered with buttons and a search box. On the left is the Offline Library and Settings, a search box in the center along with the forward / back button, and some cool customization options on the right.
To set the wallpaper as the desktop background, simply click on the image and select the Download option.
After downloading, we are going to click on the image and this time choose to set the wallpaper to change the background of your desktop.
You can also use the search box to get more refined results based on your search criteria.
To access a category of wallpapers, simply select the Categories icon (next to search in the title bar) and choose one of the many possible lists.
